“This 2016 calendar by nature photographer Shannon Bowley features a diverse selection of North, Central and South American snakes, frogs and lizards. From the Andean cloud forests of Mindo, Ecuador to the dry canyons of SE Washington, herpetological subjects of all kinds abound. The diversity of life on this planet is remarkable and many of the animals featured in this calendar are highly persecuted, misunderstood and in peril as their habitats are destroyed. Some of them are endangered or under threat as pristine forest is chipped away by human activities. Much time was spent observing the animals in their native environments and great care was taken to ensure the health and safety of the individuals while photographing them.

50% of the proceeds will be donated to reptile and amphibian conservation projects.”
